Our Hacienda Caone 2021 vintage received an outstanding 93 points from the La CAV (Wine Lovers Club) tasting panel, positioning it among the top Cabernet Sauvignons from the Maule Valley.
These tasting panels are organized by La CAV’s team of sommeliers and wine experts, and stand out as one of the few blind tastings conducted in Chile — a method that ensures unbiased evaluation and true merit.
Our boutique vineyard, spanning just 10 hectares, yielded approximately 6,000 kg per hectare during the 2021 harvest — a carefully limited production focused entirely on grape quality. From this exceptional vintage, we crafted three distinct Cabernet Sauvignons: Piedras de Auque, Hacienda Caone, and Reserva Directorio.
Hacienda Caone, the most balanced of the three, was made using grapes from blocks planted in 2015 and 2017. A portion of the final blend was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, resulting in a harmonious, rounded wine. A total of 12,920 bottles were produced.
